One of the comments made in that video is that the FT-DX10's A/D is "audio grade" as opposed to the "much more expensive A/D" in the 710. I'm still puzzled over the advantage of one technology over the other. The DX10 seems to be the better radio now, but perhaps a firmware update in the 710 could really make it awesome. Actually hybrid SDR's are better than pure SDR's as demonstrated with the 7300, the FT DX 10 handles better noisy environment and doesn't get overloaded when the 7300 does because of that hybrid arquitecture.Sadly my only complaint on the ftdx10 was a single antenna input. I wish it had a rx antenna input, it’s light years better then my 991a and much better audio out, my 991a would splatter the upper when Tx on lsb. I also wish Yaesu would release the 4K output Transmit bandwidth like they offered for 1200/3k/5k & 101 series.The dials are in better places now on the 710, for example. I like my FTDX10 but don't use all the features and wish it had better ergonomics, and was a bit cheaper. So the 710 sounds good. At least as good as a 7300. It's no hybrid but it is a newer SDR design.
